How do you calculate occupant load under the Ontario Building Code?

Occupant load is the floor area divided by the area-per-person factor in Table 3.1.17.1, for example 0.75 m2 per person for assembly space with non-fixed seats, 1.85 m2 for classrooms and 9.3 m2 for offices, or the actual number of fixed seats.
