7.2.6.12.Stainless Steel Pipe Flanges
(1) Stainless steel pipe flanges shall conform to ASME B16.5, “Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings: NPS ½ through NPS
24 Metric/Inch Standard,” and
(a) ASTM A182 / A182M, “Standard Specification for Forged or Rolled Alloy and Stainless Steel Pipe Flanges, Forged
Fittings, and Valves and Parts for High-Temperature Service,” or
(c) ANSI/AWWA C228, “Stainless-Steel Pipe Flanges For Water Service – Sizes 2 in. through 72 in. (50 mm through
1,800 mm).”
(2) Stainless steel pipe flanges shall be made of a material that matches the grade of the pipe material used.
