6.9.1.1.Fire Safety Requirements

(1) The fire safety characteristics of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems shall comply with Subsection 3.6.5. (2) Characteristics referred to in Sentence (1) include but are not limited to (a) use of combustible materials in duct systems, (b) flame-spread ratings and smoke-developed ratings of duct and pipe materials and coverings, (c) installation of equipment relative to property lines, and (d) requirements for fire dampers and fire stop flaps.
