3.1.6.5.Determination of Encapsulation Ratings
(1) Except as provided in Article 3.1.6.6., the rating of a material or assembly of materials that is required to have an
encapsulation rating shall be determined on the basis of the results of the tests conducted in conformance with CAN/ULC-
S146, “Standard Method of Test for the Evaluation of Encapsulation Materials and Assemblies of Materials for the Protection
of Structural Timber Elements.”
